Powder-Puff Football Game

As the seniors departed for summer, the school year ended with a bang. On May twentieth during sixth and seventh periods, the annual Powder-puff Football game returned to Wolf Stadium to reveal once and for all which females reigned supreme in the world of ball handling. This year’s teams consisted of Hugg’s Hustlers, captained by Logan Ann Radimer, and Groves’ Guidettes, led by Jordan Lewis. The game costed a dollar to attend and benefited the Student Advisory Boar scholarship.
As the football girls practiced hard, a few brave guys valiantly took on the challenge of providing the half-time entertainment. Risking ridicule and torment and looking for a chance to channel their built-up estrogen, this audacious bunch took on the illustrious role of cheerleaders and dancers.  After much practice and bra stuffing, they cheered the football girls on with routines designed to showcase their inner-feminism.
In an effort to raise money and drunk driving awareness, Garland County Cares was also there to demonstrate the perils of driving while intoxicated. Students could drive golf carts while wearing “beer goggles,” a device used to simulate the sensory perceptions of someone under the influence. This, however, was said to pose quite a challenge, and with murmurs of graduation parties in the air, many feel it is important to teach safe driving habits now. If you have always wanted to drive drunk but never knew how, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
With such an action packed itinerary, the Powder-puff football game was an event you definitely did not want to miss. People bought concessions, talked with friends, and enjoyed the last few days of school as they cheered on their favorite team.
