While a Super Bowl ring, MVP awards, and other individual awards are great accomplishments, one achievement might be one of the most prestigious in some people’s eyes. To grace the cover of Madden which is the worlds most selling sports video game which is made by sport’s video games prominent company, EA Sports, is a very big honor to any NFL player who has ever been chosen to be on the cover. The upcoming Madden game for 2012 will have former Razorback, and Arkansan Peyton Hillis, who know is the running back for the Cleveland Browns.
Long before Hillis became an NFL super star and before attending the University of Arkansas , Hillis was an All-State athlete at Conway High School . In 2003 Hillis scorched Lake Hamilton in a playoff game by leading his team to victory over the Wolves and advancing on in the playoffs.
After a successful carrer at U of A, Hillis was drafted by the Denver Broncos before being traded to the Cleveland Browns before the start last season. Hillis rushed for over 1,000 yards becoming the first white running back in many years to do so. Last Wednesday it was announced that Peyton Hillis will be on the cover of Madden 12. not only is Hillis the first Arkansan to be on the cover of Madden but also the first white running back on the cover. Madden 12 is set to release in mid July. If interested in buying the game you can pre-order the game from Game Stop in the mall. The game will cost around $65, and will be on PlayStation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and PSP.
