Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. :)

            “Welcome to a whole new year at Hogwarts!” This movie is known as the most anticipated film of the year.  People in Lake Hamilton have been looking forward to this movie since the very first Harry Potter movie came out in 2001. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, coming in two different parts, first release is November 18, 2010 at Midnight, and the second part comes out July of 2011. Could it possibly be the best seller of the year?

 Lisa Schwarzbaum at Entertainment Weekly gives the movie an A+ and wrote: "Part 1 is the most cinematically rewarding chapter yet… Haunting every frame of this assured and beautiful first half is the knowledge that soon, in 2011, the screen journey will be over." It’s certainly going to be a sad day when Harry Potter finally comes to an end. But everyone’s on the edge of their seats to see how the final part turns out.

Harry Potter started out as a simple children’s book coming out to the Library, and seemed to make a huge impact on society. It was so popular that of course it had to be made into a movie series too. The movies became so popular because it was one of the first fictional movies that came out that was about witchcraft and wizardry that was actually fun to watch. Before the only kind of movies we saw was boring, and didn’t seem even half as real as the Harry Potter movies. The cast was young, and the story-line was a little hard to follow. But over the years more and more people started to become interested in the way things would all turn out. And it slowly became one of the most hit series of movies to watch. Because everything about it kept people interested on how things would turn out. It’s been a long journey for the cast and the story, from the very beginning to the very end.

 According to IMDb news, before the movie even came out Warner Bros. made 25 million dollars in selling tickets alone, which is a new record. And the movie takes up 96% of daily ticket sales the week before it came out. And the first weekend made $205 million in 54 overseas countries, bringing the film's worldwide total to $330.1 million! This completely blows any other Harry Potter movies out of the way, with the last record of 102.7 million with The Goblet of Fire.

            We’ve literally watched all the characters grow up throughout the school years for almost a whole decade. Many kids have been following it from the beginning. And now even a new generation is also getting into the epic series. Harry Potter has grown up to be one of the best wizards out there, and with Hermione and Ron following up in his tracks. The whole series shows these little kids from the beginning age of only 11, to the old age of 20.

            In other students perspectives they believe that Harry Potter has grown to be a pretty awesome series over the years. They believe that the books might have been a little tough to read first starting off, but got easier once they actually saw the movies. They think that the movies actors have gotten better over the years and honestly have almost reached a peak. Some kids say that ‘Dumbledore” the head of all wizardry could have stayed the same throughout all the movies and it would have made a better impact on them. If they were to rate the Harry Potter series from 0-5, 0 being the lowest, on average students rated it as being a high 4. Most of the students around Lake Hamilton have enjoyed the whole epic series of Harry Potter growing up, and some of them have even followed from the very beginning.

 In my own perspective, this is by FAR the best Harry Potter yet. It’s full of intense scenes and a major cliff hanger. It left me on the edge of my seat the whole time; I can honestly say I’ve never had a movie do that to me before. In one of the few scenes of the movie, Harry, Ron and Hermione are traveling from place to place to protect Harry from getting killed. Harry roams off in the middle of the night and happens to come across the pond from “The Prisoner Of Azkaban” ,in that pond he finds the key to killing an evil Horcrux that seems to be turning all of them evil the longer they’re around it. He decides to dive into the pond, and when he dives into the freezing cold pond he realizes that the Horcrux is holding him back from getting the object. He fights to get out of the water but it’s frozen from above and he can’t seem to break the ice. How will harry be saved? You’ll just have to go see for yourself!

Harry Potter has sure been one of the most nerd-filled, powerful, and suspenseful film and book series out there. The fact that it’s coming to an end sends chills through all the Harry Potter fanatics out there.   But Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sure will be one of the biggest blockbuster movies of all time. We’ll not say goodbye just yet. Just say see you soon! Like they say in the movies... “Repeat after me; without wands please; Riddikulus!"
