2010 Football Season

2010 football season

The lake Hamilton wolves football team had a successful season finishing 9-4 and reaching the semi-finals. The wolves were  beat by the Eldorado wildcats 21-20 in the semi’s who went on to the winning the state championship the following week. Although not having the size as in years past the wolves proved many sports writers and commentators wrong by having more than just a sub par season. Lake Hamilton’s tight end Cameron Anderson said, “no one really thought we would make it deep in the playoffs and we did. I feel like we had a great season and have nothing to hang our heads about.” When asked about next year Anderson gave a cute grin and said, “no doubt we will be back next year in the semi’s. except next time we’re gunna win and win the next time in the championship.”
The wolves have a rich tradition in football and the past 50 games are 38-12. there were some big games in this 50 game span. Such as when Texarkana was ranked number 1 in the state of Arkansas followed by number 2 ranked in state, lake Hamilton. Lake Hamilton. Lake Hamilton won the game and jumped to number one in state. Also, lake Hamilton has played two states champion games in 1992 and 2008.also, two of the last 50 games have ben televised on state wide tv. The wolves have a 1-1 record winning at Pine Buff in 2009 season lake Hamilton was recognized nationally for Game of the Week. The lake Hamilton vs. Pulaski Academy game was voted the number 1 game of the week in America. Lake Hamilton won the game 32-30.
With the football season being over the wolves are already hard at work. From lifting weights to throwing the ball, the wolves are focused and ready for next year. With the entire group of talented receivers coming back and a powerful line the lake Hamilton wolves are on track for another successful season.
